Spark Find your spark. Be yourself and enjoy the moment right here right now. Do things however you want to, there’s really no limit on how many possibilities you can achieve. Are you looking at the spark, or is the spark reaching back at you? In one way or another, we’re all each other’s sparkle 💖 This illustration was created with @familytreeclinic ‘s mission statement and style guide in mind along with the class prompt’s “Relaxation”. I want to combine bold and colorful colors to show the variety of life and a few pride flags to show Family Tree Clinic’s inclusiveness. The vases were included as representations of human vessels where each vase has a different shape and color. I also incorporate some activities I do when I want to relax, like reading a book, hanging out with friends, going to coffee shops, and looking at animals 💙

👨🏼🦳 Why Is Grandpa Grumpy? 👧🏻 Two Pages Spread 20” x 10” . My first project of the semester for Children’s Book Illustration :”) We were given random words that formed into a prompt and mine was “grandparent house” and “grumpy”. This project really brought tears to my eyes as I was working on it because I haven’t seen my grandparents for a while. I even had a whole storyline and personalities for all the characters from this spread already. I have included a lot of little things throughout the spreads to let the readers (parents, and later on, kids) know the reason why the grandfather is grumpy (or is he?) I used color to convey the mood and keys I want to express. Green stands for the lost ones, the grandmother figure, whom the kids never met before. Brown/orange stands for the left-behind granddad, who’s trying to fill up the void of his partner. From the photo frames to the unfinished knitted project, the two filled mugs every afternoon, the urn on the fireplace, the spacious house despite all the cluttering, and the dying plants. These things seem obvious in the adults’ eyes, but from a kid’s perspective, they are clueless as to why their granddad would be so grumpy and scary all the time when he had all these possessions. This was a very fun (?) project to start up the semester and I hope you enjoy it as well :”)
👻 The Surprise Helper 🌌 Two Pages Spread 19” x 11” When a group of friends decided to go treasure hunting in the wood, they didn’t know there was gonna be a surprise helper behind the luminous waterfall 🤭🤞 I had a really fun time drawing these little characters as well as playing with negative space! Trying out a cool color palette was tricky as I’m used to warm tones but the result is very satisfying ✨ Tag yourself which kid are you 👻
🎶 The Melody Beneath the Moon🌙 Book Jacket Cover Illustration Stitch, the well-known fire summoner of the magic academy Moon Carnival, is smart, adventurous, and charming. Vân, on the other hand, is quiet, skeptical, might as well be considered the castaway of the class due to her lack of magical control. However, they find themself stuck together for a school competition by fate, the hero and the loner. In a challenge where every single student is sent out to gather moon dust, this unexpected pairing was able to break open the secret beneath the moon that the Moon Carnival Academy has been hidden away…

When Wendy Meets Peter Digital Illustration 12" x 33" (or two 12” x 9” and one 12" x 13) Peter Pan is a story about dreams, friendship, adventure, and childhood, but also about loneliness and isolation. When Wendy meets Peter, they became friends and both discovered a new world in each other. Wendy was reintroduced to the idea of imagination and childhood by Peter while Peter learns to be compassionate and be acceptance through Wendy. The story starts and ends at night, symbolizing the dreamy and mysterious aspect of the story. This illustration can be viewed as a triptych work or as a long vertical scroll of a magical, child-like atmosphere.

A moneybag shakes my hand gratefully, escorting me to the gift shop. In the checkout line, I pose with a charismatic cashier named Goldilocks, who assures me the earth is not too hot, not too cold; just right! Another cashier in a different exhibit gives a stirring speech about dangerous heat waves rocking the world, encouraging me to buy a thermos to raise awareness. I leave with three, floored by his profound speech. Your donation was very much appreciated.”

With Golden String, Our Universe Was Brought To Life Watercolor, Gouache, Embroidery “With golden string Our universe was brought to life That we may fall in love Every time we open up our eyes.” - Sun, Sleeping At Last

Tarot Illustration - Strength Gouache/Watercolor From behind the mountains, the sun rises with its radiant grace. The figure embraces the lion with the strength she got from nature and the wisdom within her mind. Moving away from the ruins he created, the lion approached the figure like he has known her for a long time. Beneath the shore lie the tender stream that’s slowly moving past the rocks. This illustration was rendered using gouache, watercolor, and colored pencils. My illustration for the card was mainly inspired by the Rider-Waite tarot deck. As always I try to incorporate as many symbols in the illustrations as possible. I hope this card can give you the inner strength you all have within yourself.
